Who We Are

Palestine House of Freedom, or Dar Alhurriya, in Arabic, creates a high-profile presence for Palestine in Washington, DC. We are part of Education for Peace and Understanding, a registered non- profit in the United States that works to educate and foster understanding for the sake of freedom, justice and peace in Palestine.

We are located at the heart of Capitol Hill just steps away from the halls of Congress. We welcome anyone who wishes to work with us towards a free, democratic Palestine, where all people enjoy freedom and equal rights.

Vision

The realization of return and justice for Palestinian refugees, and a democratic future in which all people between the River Jordan and the Mediterranean Sea enjoy equal rights, freedom, security, dignity, and peace.

The core issues of the Palestinian cause are the return of the refugees and allowing a free, democratic Palestine on all historic Palestine to replace the current apartheid regime. Our vision is to see these two core issues become reality. We do this through our three-pronged educational strategy:

-Our inclusive, unique curriculum.

-Extensive outreach to Congress.

-Events held at Palestine House of Freedom.

Mission

To transform the Washington, DC conversation on Palestine by advancing freedom, equality, and human rights for all people in historic Palestine, while championing the right of Palestinian refugees to return.

The conversation on the Palestine issue in Washington, DC is all about Israel and the rights and protection of Israelis. The strategy of Palestine House of Freedom is to educate the public as well as elected officials so that the conversation will focus on the right of return of Palestinian refugees, freedom, rights and protection of all people who live in historic Palestine.
